Frances Figart, Consultant
US, Canada, Central America
Contract Editor and Freelance Writer
May 2006 to Present
Throughout my career I have taken on contract work, often on a monthly retainer, providing travel trade articles, web content creation, editing and redesign, marketing strategies, conference coordination, public speaking, social media direction and a host of other activities for a variety of clients in the US, Canada and Central America. Most of these contracts have been related to the travel industry, but not all. My Kudos page provides recommendations from clients and members of teams on which I have worked. The Articles page provides links to published business, tourism and nature pieces I’ve written most recently. The only time I have not kept up this type of work was from September 2011 to July 2012 when I was caring for my mother round-the-clock every day, a job you can read about in some of my recent blog posts: Scrabble in the dark with Annie,Let’s roll: A tribute to Ruthe, Songs of a new order and Changes are shifting outside the world.
